Dying a dress
Okay, I sat on fresh ink (the thick permanent texta ink type), and managed to get a light but noticeable stain on my favourite silk dress. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any garment places that would be able to dye it back, or another colour. I am not fussed about what colour they can change it to, just as long as the stain disappears. I have already dry cleaned it and apparently the alcohol had ruined the colouring. So if anyone could please reccomend any way to go about this, that would be great. Thanks.

Hello fellow Melbournians! I originally posted this somewhere else when [info]socraticomatic suggested that I'm might do better with a community that was actually active. Thanks for the tip!

Melbourne born and bred, I have actually lived overseas for the last 10 years and have no idea what's what anymore. Anyway, I'm home shortly for a few weeks, and want to catch up with all of my friends, pretty much all of whom have subsequently had kids. I'd like to do something where we can all get together in one spot and they can happily bring the ankle-biters with them. But I want the day to be fun for the adults as well! Any suggestions about a good Sunday afternoon activity? (My brain imagines a pub with a playground, but I'm completely open to all suggestions.)

I have a Richmond Football Club Junior membership for sale!

Say $10?? Or if you believe it should be lower go ahead and make an offer.

This membership card entitles a child under 14 years of age to attend 11 Richmond home games during the 2008 AFL season.
It allows the child to unreserved seating sections, and has never been used!
I'll also post this free of charge.

Help!
Does anyone know the name of the sushi bar on the corner of Swanston St and Flinders Lane? I left a folder there, and my powers of google aren't helping me to find the name of the place so that I can call them and make sure that I did!

Thanks, all!

EDIT: I found it! Oshin Sushi, for anyone who wanted to know! And they even had the folder!

When I was in America there were a few websites that you could pay for food online, then they'd deliver it to the adress.

Cardigans
Hi Everyone,

Spring will be here soon and i would like to buy some nice cardigans to wear. I've looked in stores but most of them seem really bland and granny-ish.

Was wondering if any of you know of some online or offline stores which sell some nice cardigans?

TIA

Hmm tea leaves
My co-worker had just finished drinking his tea and was playing around with the remnants at the bottom and he eventually sighed and said:

"such is the life of a tea leaf dog, one flinch...and it loses its head"

call centres

I'm looking to see if anyone has worked, or knows someone who has worked in the following call centres and what their thoughts are:

PCI in East Bentleigh

Crazy Johns

Australia Post

ANZ

Medibank

I'm looking at call centre jobs in these companies - I've done customer service and inbound telephone sales before and I'm quite good at it. I just want to know what the reputations are like and any stories or personal experience

Thanks!

Housewarming present ideas
Any ideas for a housewarming present for a young couple in their 20s/30s who have just moved in together? It's a house, they have a dog, and seem to have everything else set up...to the naked eye!

What have you enjoyed receiving in the past?

Thank you!
